Dress Shopping with TJX

IMG_2989.jpg

It’s no secret that I am a frequent visitor of all three stores in the TJX family.  My top stops are always the shoe, handbag, and home goods departments.  Recently I was out shopping with my mom and sister for dresses for my sister’s college graduation, and I was getting incredibly discouraged by the lack of dresses in my size at our local store.  As I flicked through the gorgeous dresses by some of my favorite brands, I resolved to find one  of them at a killer price point in my size some way.  Luckily, the recently launched TJMaxx website is the answer to my problems.  They have tons of items available in all sizes.  If there’s an item I love in the store, chances are I can hop online and look for it (or something similar) there!  It’s such a life saver when you have a special event to shop for but have one of the ‘miss’ days at your local store.

Over the next few weeks, I’m going to be sharing some holiday inspired outfits that began at T.J.Maxx!  Their stores are absolutely stocked up right now for the holidays, and have pieces for every type of holiday gathering.  TJX brands have always been a great place to score designer pieces at affordable prices, but I have to say I was so impressed with their holiday selection this year.  As someone who will wear 95% sweaters for the next four months, believe me when I say their sweater game is strong.  Filled with vague holiday inspiration, they are perfect for the season but versatile enough to continue wearing throughout the rest of winter!  I will wear almost entirely sweaters to get togethers from Thanksgiving to New Year’s because I absolutely hate being cold, but it can be challenging to find new and exciting ways to wear a sweater than with a pair of jeans and riding boots.  So I’m challenging myself to find sweaters this season that I know will look just as cute with a festive skirt as with a pair of jeans!

I bought this LC Lauren Conrad tulle skirt last year and it was absolutely perfect for Christmas Eve, but I wasn’t sure I would be able to find another way to wear it this year.  Luckily as soon as I saw this Ivanka Trump sweater I knew it would be the perfect match, and even appropriate as early as Thanksgiving with a cooler color palette!  I adore Ivanka Trump’s entire line (we are birthday twins, after all!), but I often find it hard to justify the hefty price tags (I bought my favorite black boots at 50% off in February last year).  I’ve spotted so many to die for items at T.J.Maxx from my favorite designers, and the only thing I love more is the price tag.  I was able to find this sweater at Lord & Taylor online, but make sure you check your local store for it and other similar styles!
