The weather has been so up and down lately, but I’m holding on to any resemblance of spring I can find.  This skirt from The Limited is perfect for all spring occasions, from Mother’s Day brunch to graduations and beyond.  The color and silhouette are just perfect.  Now if only the flowers would start cooperating around here…IMG_9616IMG_9574IMG_9594IMG_9608IMG_9576IMG_9638

Happy Friday! I’m so excited for this weekend.  My sister and I are going to South Boston’s Saint Patrick’s Day Parade on Sunday, followed by the Hoodie Allen concert at the House of Blues, and it looks like we’ll have another bout of sunshine!

Almost as awesome as a sunny Saturday is this gorgeous skirt from The Limited.  Between their versatile and professional clothing, awesome sales, and free two day shipping from ShopRunner, I always find myself filling in my wardrobe with Limited pieces.  This skirt is gorgeous for pretty much anything, but I particularly had Easter in mind when I picked it up.  I love a good dress, but I definitely prefer skirts.  There’s so many more options to style a skirt different, that it feels like a building block for future outfits rather than just an outfit on its own-which is why I have so many skirts on constant rotation in my closet.  This aquamarine color goes great with other cool tones, or a bright coral necklace and blush heels like I wore here-the magic of a good skirt is always in its versatility!  I actually wore a skirt from The Limited for Easter last year with this same necklace in this post and it was absolutely perfect (similar purple skirt here and lace skirt here).

Fun Fact about yours truly: I am a sucker for anything that is perfectly matched.  On Monday when this post went live, a friend came up to me and said “I know why you love that skirt so much-because it matches your hair!”

She may have a point.  My suede skirt that I love so dearly does match my hair, just like today’s blazer so perfectly matches my skirt and my glasses match my top here.  Matching is one of those things I know I can always fall back on, because it pulls a look together even when I’m not 100% feeling the ensemble.  This plaid skirt could go with so many things, but on a Monday morning you can bet I’ll fall right back into the routine of matching black and red (the color combo I’ve apparently loved this winter time and time again…)

Jackets are definitely one of my wardrobe must haves.  They take every outfit to the next level, whether it be a blazer elevating your professional look or a leather jacket adding an extra edge to a weekend ensemble.  This blazer from LOFT is my new favorite, because it adds something special to work and weekend looks alike.

It’s been so hard to take outfit pictures over the past week or so, with it being well below freezing all weekend.  Shooting fashion pictures at the office park always lends to strange looks, but when its 16 degrees outside people look like they want to bring me in for a CT Scan.  Here’s hoping for some warmer weather this week!

I have been loving all of the gingham prints hitting stores for spring this month!  This classic black and white skirt is the perfect piece for early spring, since it’s not too aggressively “spring” while we still have snow on the ground, and goes with absolutely anything!  Stay tuned to see how I style it in the future, I’m sure it will make quite a few more appearances here!IMG_4050 IMG_4058 IMG_4062 IMG_4068 IMG_4072 IMG_4081 IMG_4085 IMG_4090 IMG_4097

I am constantly searching for new ways to wear my every day essentials, and this outfit combines five of them!  Chances are you already have most of these items in your closet and can put this together with your own personal twist (I also love it with a solid skirt and textured tights!)

This H&M bag is the perfect work bag!  It can hold so much, and I love the structure that keeps its form no matter how much I throw in it!  My friend actually has it in both black and gray- it’s really that good!
