Casual Thanksgiving Outfit

Hello everyone, welcome back!  Today I’m sharing a little Thanksgiving outfit inspiration.  If you have a more casual gathering (or a Friendsgiving!), a simple sweater and colored pants make a nice and easy ensemble, with a fun pair of leopard booties making the statement.

Last Minute Thanksgiving Outfit

I think one thing everyone has in common is having to throw an outfit together at the last minute for one holiday or another.  Luckily Thanksgiving has a much more flexible color palette than some other holidays (looking at you, Christmas…) so it’s reasonably easy to pull something together with items already in your closet.

I usually think of warm oranges and earthy browns when I think of Thanksgiving, but this year I have been loving deep jewel tones so much that I broke out this reliable navy skirt and a soft tee (my favorite pair!) in navy and jade.

Thanksgiving Dress

img_6989img_6968img_6992img_6966

Welcome back guys!  I hope you all had a great weekend.  My sister brought me along to the ski and snowboard expo with her and it got us a bit excited for winter sports and holiday celebrations.

This Zara find is the perfect dress for Thanksgiving.  The plaid is perfectly festive, the sleeves keep things trendy, and is loose enough that no one can give you a hard time for that fourth slice of pie.  I was feeling ambitious and tried to bare my already-winter-white legs this weekend, but I also think this short little number would look just as good with tights and booties!

Thanksgiving 2.0

IMG_9853IMG_9833IMG_9885

Bringing back the perfect November sweater (last seen here) for some last minute Thanksgiving outfit inspiration today!  My style will always take root in preppy New England styles, and this outfit is no exception.  Layering and tights are some of my reliables for problematic late fall dressing, and I absolutely adore this palette for Thanksgiving!

Outfit Details – Sweater: J.Crew Factory (last seen here) | Chambray: American Eagle | Skirt: Banana Republic (last worn here) | Tights: J.Crew Factory | Shoes: Lucky Brand (also love these– they come in eight colors!) | Purse: Banana Republic Factory Store | Rings: French Connection | Earrings: Bauble Bar

Thank you so much for reading! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Cinnamon Sweater

IMG_9804 (1)IMG_9787IMG_9782

I am totally obsessed with this cinnamon sweater from J.Crew Factory.  It’s the perfect color for November, especially when paired with other rich hues like this plum or a dark sage.  I happen to love it layered with a reliable chambray, so this week I’m going to be sharing the two ways I styled it for Thanksgiving week!

I knew right away that I had to layer this sweater under this Helene Berman cape I got last year (last seen here).  Capes are great for traveling, since they’re warm, comfortable, and chic all at the same time.  Swap out a pair of boots for some heeled booties and this outfit is ready for even the most discerning grandmother.

Outfit Details – Cape: Helene Berman via Nordstrom (last year, love this, this, this, and this; pretty burgundy coat here) | Sweater: J.Crew Factory | Chambray: American Eagle | Jeans: Lucky Brand | Booties: Ann Taylor (old, similar here and here) | Purse: Vera Bradley | Rings: French Connection | Earrings: Bauble Bar

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you all have a great Monday!
