Hello my loves, happy Friday!  This LWD is a few years old, but I came across it the other day and was suddenly determined to wear it again.

Outlet Fashion

Happy Friday my loves!  I hope you all enjoyed yesterday’s Seaport Guide!  I can’t wait to share even more Boston neighborhoods with you all!

Today I’m talking about one of my favorite things: outlet shopping.  Over the long weekend, I went shopping at the Wrentham Outlets with my mom and sister.  Most of my favorite stores (Banana Republic, J.Crew, Ann Taylor, Loft, etc.) have an outlet there and it is so fun seeing all the great deals that are available on your favorite styles.

This first outfit is a skirt and top combo from the LOFT outlet.  The three of us stormed into the dressing rooms with arms loaded up with buy one get one free tees and $12 tops, and I happened to spot this skirt on the way into the dressing room.  I actually bought the petite size because I’ve been looking for a skirt that was longer than a mini but still hit above my knee, and this length fit the bill perfectly.  I paired it with my old Treasure&Bond jacket and nude strappy heels!

This second look features a dress found at the Banana Republic Factory Store.  Any dress I can find for $40 is a hard win in my book.  You could definitely dress it up, but I chose to style it for brunch, with some chunky heels, my favorite denim jacket, and this adorable yellow backpack from Zara.

What are your favorite outlet stores to shop? Let me know in the comments below!

Have a great weekend!

Pretty in Pineapple

Hello everyone, welcome back!  Today’s skirt is an absolute dream.  Every time I walked past this pattern in the J.Crew window at the mall I started daydreaming about us doing everything together.  Working together, going to brunch together, taking long walks on the beach talking about our future…

But really.  This pattern and the colors are an absolute dream.  I love the pineapple pattern, but it’s not too obvious and predictable as yellow and green, so it gives off the vibe that you can wear and re-wear it as many times in as many ways as you could possibly dream!

Red Dress

Happy Friday, everyone!  I hope you’re all ready for the long weekend.  It’s also my sister’s birthday weekend, so we have a full agenda of fun over the next four days!  I bought this red dress back when it was still cold outside because I instantly thought it would be perfect for Cinco de Mayo (it was).  Little did I know, I would be re-wearing it for this holiday weekend as well.  As we know from last year’s day to night dress series, I love being able to wear the same dress all day and just swap out some accessories.  This one will be perfect for some festive farmer’s market and errand runs during the day today, before going out with my sister and friends for Friday night.

I fell for this adorable turtle t-shirt the second I saw it on the GAP website.  Unfortunately it looks like everyone else did too; it has since sold out from when I took these pictures.  The darling tee shop is perfect for easy beach outfits, tops for a walk in the park, and other casual summer endeavors; starting as low as $15!

Day to Night Dress Series: Black Maxi Edition

This past weekend was the absolute perfect maxi dress weather.  I’m a bit embarrassed about how long it took me to jump on the maxi dress trend a few years ago when it first rolled around, but now I am a true believer.  It’s a must-have item if you’re doing any traveling this summer, or even just exploring around your own city or neighborhood!

The perfect accessories for some daytime adventuring are gladiators and a denim vest.  I have been envious of my sister’s edgy denim vest for probably two years now, and I just found this one at Old Navy and it is absolutely perfect.  I’ve also been eyeballing tassel earrings forever now, but I’m really not a “big earring” person, so I was so excited when I found these pretty gold ones at Banana Republic that are dainty and fun at the same time!

Alternate style here and here) | Sandals: Lucky Brand (old, similar here and here) | Denim Vest: Old Navy | Sunglasses: Coach | Bracelet: J.Crew Factory (also love this crystal embellished one) | Necklace: J.Crew | Ring: Charming Charlie | Earrings: Banana Republic (now on sale!) | Clutch: J.Crew Factory

This cozy cotton-cashmere shawl is the perfect addition for my favorite summer evening activities; including, but not limited to drinks on the dock and sunset sails.  My mom found it at a boutique in Central Mass called otmōs, and it’s lightweight and still warm, so totally perfect for when the sun goes down.  All you need is a sleek clutch or wristlet and you are good to go for an evening by the water.  It’s also a great item to pack in your travel bag to Europe, to cover up your shoulders inside conservative churches, and easily take off when you step back out into the summer sun.

Outfit Details – Dress: Lush (Now on sale! Alternate style here and here) | Sandals: Lucky Brand (old, similar here and here) | Shawl: Caroline Grace | Bracelet: J.Crew Factory (also love this crystal embellished one) | Necklace: J.Crew | Ring: Charming Charlie | Earrings: Banana Republic (now on sale!) | Wristlet: Spartina 449
