Hello everyone welcome back! Today’s post features my current favorite t-shirt AND skirt. I don’t naturally gravitate towards ruffled blouses, since I am so heavily a t-shirt gal, but I can 100% get behind a ruffled skirt. This t-shirt is a Madewell x Girls Inc. collab that is everything and more. It’s super soft and lightweight, comfortable, flattering, and donates 25% of the retail price to Girls Inc. So to put it mildly, it’s everything.
I can’t wait to style this skirt even more ways this year (last seen here!) I think it would look so pretty with a red and white striped top for a little nautical vibe!

This beautiful Banana Republic skirt instantly caught my eye. I love the length, the pleats, the pattern, and the colors. I chose to pair it first with a lace top, to add some nice textures to mix up my look. To make it more work appropriate, just add a pair of closed toe heels and a navy blazer!

Happy Hump Day my loves! Last week you may have seen me post on Instagram that I did some major damage at LOFT, including these adorable lemon print shorts. Lemon prints have been absolutely everywhere this spring, and LOFT is definitely in the game with this halter dress, one shoulder top, scarf, sleeveless top and even no show socks!
My two favorite blogger outfits featuring the lemon print trend are Hallie (featuring the aforementioned LOFT scarf) and Blair styling an Anthro dress! I love the way they both mixed stripes with lemon prints and incorporated their own personal styles into the trend!
Printed shorts are a must have for me during the summer. They are absolutely perfect for weekend trips to the zoo on hot summer days! I know these lemon ones will be on constant rotation over the next few months!

Along with the berry skirt from Wednesday’s post, I picked up this floral skirt from J.Crew a few weeks ago. The print is vintage and yet refreshing at the same time, and to boot it is beyond comfortable – I wore it last night for my baby brother’s high school graduation and didn’t feel the pinch of having one too many gyros for lunch at all. Happy August, everyone! That feels so strange to say. I feel like Memorial Day and the unofficial start to summer was just last week, and now we’re in the final stretch towards fall. Luckily, living in New England, I have easy access to all sorts of fun summer destinations that are easy to jet off to, like Saratoga Springs and Southern Coastal Maine. My must have clothing items for some summer exploring (especially when it falls smack in the middle of a heat dome) are fun shorts from J.Crew (last worn here) and these boat shoes (great for climbing some rocks and long walks alike).

The combination of a simple tank and a lightweight flowy skirt is perfect for those unbearably hot summer days. It can seem so impossible to still look nice when it’s hot and humid outside. But with a light easy combination like this one, it’s possible to look cool without being too hot. At night for al fresco drinks, I just have to throw on my favorite denim jacket to warm up and dress my look down.

This Milly for Kohl’s dress is definitely my number one sidekick. It just proves to me that the LBD cliches are totally true. I’ve thrown on this dress for so many occasions I can hardly keep track of them. A best friend’s birthday. A wedding date where I don’t even know the bride and groom. An office trip. The list keeps going. And last weekend, I pulled it out again for a stylish shopping trip with my mom.
Madewell is one of my favorite accessories stops in the mall. As someone who usually gravitates towards preppy, classic, and professional styles, Madewell is the perfect stop to spice some of my looks up while still feeling totally comfortable in my style. I bought this scarf in olive green in the fall and wore it nonstop over the colder months. When I saw its cayenne colored twin, I knew I just had to have another one on rotation! Add in a fun hat and these awesome Toms wedges and this little black dress suddenly has a totally different vibe to it.
