Summer Shoe Guide

Happy Hump Day, friends!  Today I’m sharing some of my favorite shoe finds for the summer months.  Most of these are under $50, but they are all under $75, so there is something for everyone to pick from!  Whether you’re looking for a wedding guest sandal, a beach shoe, or something comfy to explore in; just keep reading to find the best affordable shoes for summer!

One: Merona Low Block Heel Pumps – $27.99 – I actually featured these on my snapchat (@chummer17) a few months ago, because they are an amazing dupe for the Steve Madden pair that is more than double the price!  The low block heel is so on trend for 2017, and with five colors to choose from these definitely will not let you down.

Two: Soludos Stripe Espadrille Loafer – $54.95 – The stripes may scream “Americana”, but I have full confidence these striped kicks will get their money’s worth all summer long.  The red and blue is subtle enough that they transcend holidays into full blown summer approval.

Three: Keds Espadrille Tennis Shoes – $55 – These Keds are the stuff beachy dreams are made of.  I love the cream canvas tennis shoe upper, atop the espadrille sole.  I can just imagine these getting tons of wear down the Cape this summer, from bike rides to ice cream trips!

Four: Splendid Jakey Ankle Strap Sandal – $63.96 – These blush heels are absolutely to die for.  They’re currently 50% off, and look a lot like my LC Lauren Conrad heels I wear nonstop (last seen here and here).  I wear my similar pair with everything, so I would definitely recommend trying these out!

Five: Sperry Perforated Sneaker – $74.95 – I have these shoes in orange from two years ago and I am totally obsessed with them.  This year they come in six colors that are perfectly on trend for 2017.  They are cute and casual, plus super easy to slip in and out of!

Six: Who What Wear Exotic Print Slide Sandals – $27.99 – I am loving the slide trend that has been everywhere this year.  The luxe print on these makes them look way more expensive than they actually are, plus they would look great with everything from a dinner dress to denim cutoffs!

Seven: Who What Wear Double Band Block Heel Slide Sandals – $32.99 – I have been trying to decide whether to pull the trigger on these for MONTHS now!  They come in five different colors, which are equally stunning.

Eight: Forever 21 Tasseled Faux Leather Heels – $32.90 – I can be a bit hesitant about the tassel trend, because a lot of times it feels a little forced, juvenile, or not quite like me.  These sandals, however, have completely changed my mind.  I love the all nude look, and the short block heel is perfectly elegant and on trend.

Nine: Superga Cotu Sneakers – $64.95 – My mom is a die-hard Superga lover.  I’m pretty sure she was wearing them before Kate Middleton and Emma Watson, so she is pretty much fashion #goals.  She swears by their comfort, the cut, and the cute all white looks good with anything.

Ten: H&M Sneakers – $24.99 – Millennial Pink lovers rejoice – these shoes were pretty much made for you.  I love the detailing to the pink sole, and the fact that they are under $25 really just sweetens the deal.

Sweater Weather

IMG_1505During the winter months, I rarely stray from my sweater-jeans-boots uniform (primarily for warmth and comfort reasons), so I’m always looking for ways I can spice up that every day ritual.

Enter these amazing Old Navy booties.  I absolutely adore burgundy in the fall and all throughout the winter, and these are comfortable enough to walk around in all day. They are also super affordable, which makes me even more in love with them if possible. The LOFT sweater is soft and comfortable, and I love how the leopard print adds an element of fun to the outfit without being too overbearing.  This is the perfect ensemble for a playful Saturday afternoon of exploring. A Beacon (Hill) of Hope

IMG_2188The elegant neighborhood of Beacon Hill is one of my favorite neighborhoods in Boston.  The gas lamps, cobblestone streets, and red brick sidewalks make up the most quintessential historic Boston image in the most charming way possible.  This quaint and picturesque “Old Boston” neighborhood can only be enhanced by fall’s vibrant foliage, and made for such a fun shoot location.

My favorite neighborhood deserved nothing less than a few of my favorite wardrobe pieces, including colored skinny jeans, heeled booties, a clutch, and, of course, plenty of sparkle.

Tuesday Shoesday

IMG_0475

Today was a gross and rainy day in New England, but nothing a new pair of shoes couldn’t fix!

One of the main items my fall wardrobe had been missing was a crucial pair of leopard print flats that would serve as both fashionable and functional footwear for running around the city in.  After conducting a thorough internet search I found (and lusted after!) these Steve Madden ones.  But much to my dismay I had a difficult time justifying spending $80 on a pair of flats that I would likely beat up with frequent walks around the city, so I continued my search.

With a brilliant stroke of luck, I happened upon this almost identical pair at American Eagle.  They have the same pointed toe, the same strategic arch opening, and, of course, the leopard print.  The best part was, they were only $30!  The perfect price for an everyday flat.  I was tempted to buy two pairs so that I could have another when I inevitably wear down the first pair, because I don’t think I can beat that deal anywhere else!
