Welcome back guys! I hope you all had a great week. Today’s holiday outfit is inspired by those impromptu happy hours after work where you have to take your 9-5 outfit out into the real world. This skirt is the most festive pencil skirt possibly ever and there’s no reason for it to not make an appearance once per week until Christmas. Seriously guys this is not a drill. It adds a bit of holiday happiness, to your work day, but by swapping your blazer for a leather jacket at 5:01pm. all of a sudden you’re ready for some well deserved Christmas Cheer.

Tan, Pink, and Navy

This tank and jacket combo was one of my first purchases from White House Black Market five years ago. I vividly remember my parents taking me there for internship pieces (first my dad when I needed a suit, then my mom for daily professional wear). I loved this combo so much as an 18 year old that I wore it to work, then with jeans on Thanksgiving, and I even wore it out on a Saturday night in college with a tweed skirt. Which is maybe not the best example of asking a business school student what to wear on a Saturday night, but it does speak volumes about White House Black Market pieces and their timelessness. I think they look just as good today as they did five years ago.

Brushed Plaid

My sister recently called me out when I described myself as a ‘coat person’, retaliating with ‘you’re an everything person’ (she’s not mistaken). However I definitely am a coat person. During the harsh New England winter, basically everyone sees me in my coat, so why not wear a statement making one that I adore?
