Hello everyone welcome back! Today’s post features my current favorite t-shirt AND skirt. I don’t naturally gravitate towards ruffled blouses, since I am so heavily a t-shirt gal, but I can 100% get behind a ruffled skirt. This t-shirt is a Madewell x Girls Inc. collab that is everything and more. It’s super soft and lightweight, comfortable, flattering, and donates 25% of the retail price to Girls Inc. So to put it mildly, it’s everything.
I can’t wait to style this skirt even more ways this year (last seen here!) I think it would look so pretty with a red and white striped top for a little nautical vibe!

Happy Friday everyone! Today I’m sharing a look I wore earlier this week when it felt like summer out! I was honestly not prepared to dress for the warmth, as many of my 85 degree appropriate clothes are still in storage! So to improvise, I wore this olive skirt I paired with tights over the winter and this old pink top from Banana Republic. Add in my new favorite shoes, and these old pieces felt brand new.

When Vogue first called Spring/Summer 2017 the season of “color confidence”, you know I was the first one to buy in. As a lover of color, I was so excited to embrace the warm oranges, bright blues, and bold pinks. Pretty much every shade of yellow is in right now, from mustard to neon, but since yellow has never been the best color on my skin tone, I chose to embrace its friendly neighbors, pink and orange, in this bold spring outfit.
Outfit Details – Tee: GAP (old, similar here) | Skirt: J.Crew | Shoes: LC Lauren Conrad | Jacket: Lucky Brand |Necklace: Elizabeth and James
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful weekend!
You may recognize this jacket as being eerily similar to one I’ve worn here and here. Well, I have to admit, this coat is that old favorite’s younger sister. I bought the navy one two years ago from Old Navy and I love it to death. When I spotted this black one they came out with this year, I knew I needed to add it into my collection as well. I love how the coat, toggles, and loops are all black; making a really sleek look. The aforementioned navy coat has wooden toggles and rope details, making for a more nautical look. You can see why I needed both of them, especially at such a reasonable price point!
Outfit Details – Coat: Old Navy | Sweater: Banana Republic | Jeans: Lucky Brand | Booties: Sam Edelman | Sunglasses: Perverse | Earrings: Treasure&Bond (sold out, similar here) | Necklace: Venice and Violet by Dogeared | Watch: Fossil | Lips – Clinique ‘Mighty Mimosa’ and Clinique ‘Cake Pop’

There may not be flowers sprouting from the earth quite yet, at least in Massachusetts, but I am more than ready to start incorporating them into my wardrobe! My sister and I both have this Cynthia Rowley skirt (twinning on Instagram here) and our different styles are a perfect example of the versatility of florals. I wore it with a navy sleeveless blouse over the summer, which unfortunately was one of the shoots I lost when my computer crashed, so I wanted to try it with this bright pink sweater from Banana Republic. In a mild attempt to mellow myself out (since technically it is still winter), I made sure to add a plethora of navy in to the ensemble to properly winterize the look.
Outfit Details – Sweater: Banana Republic (old, similar by GAP here, more here, here, and here-all on sale!) | Skirt: Cynthia Rowley (old, similar here) | Tights: J.Crew Factory | Heels: Mossimo (currently on sale!) | Purse: Vera Bradley | Necklaces: Bauble Bar (here and here) | Earrings: Banana Republic (sold out, similar here) | Bracelets: The Limited, LC Lauren Conrad | Watch: Fossil | Sunglasses: Warby Parker
Thanks so much for stopping by! Happy Hump Day!
Living in New England, sometimes we’re forced to give up flattering outfits in favor of functional ones in order to not freeze. On the days that it’s unbearably freezing, or I’m going to be outside for a long period of time, I usually try to wear bright, vibrant colors to counteract the shapelessness of winter parkas. I love how affordable these fun colored boots from Target are- they make for a great addition to spice up your snow wardrobe!

Happy Tuesday, world! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Mine was extra long thanks to Patriots’ Day, also known as Marathon Monday. If you live outside of Massachusetts and don’t celebrate Patriots’ Day, you are really missing out- it’s sort of accepted as almost being better than Christmas. Boston.com wrote an awesome article about why Patriots’ Day should be a Federal Holiday here, and I couldn’t agree with it more. It’s a really unique holiday where there aren’t any expectations or stipulations; just a bunch of crazy runners making the 26.2 mile trek towards the city as other just plain crazy Bostonians watch and cheer on every single runner as a community, the likes of which I have never seen anywhere else.
Today’s look is from this past weekend; filled with not only awesome holidays, but also awesome weather. This lightweight LOFT sweater is a perfect spring top, and will be equally amazing this summer to throw on at night when the temps drop a bit. I love the bright pink color (staying true to the new obsession I divulged here), and decided to go with all silver accents to keep the look a bit more subdued for a day spent watching baseball games and other low-key weekend activities.
Outfit Details – Sweater: LOFT | Jeans: Lucky Brand | Oxfords: J.Crew Factory (sold out, similar style here. Also check out these silver flats and slip-on sneaks!) | Bag: Urban Outfitters (also love this one) | Earrings: Banana Republic (old, similar here) | Necklace: Lucky Brand | Watch: Fossil | Ring: Lucky Brand | Nails: Essie “Cocoa Karma”

The amazing pinstripe pants strike again. These so happen to combine three of my favorite pant traits into one amazing pair (high waisted, ankle, and colored), so this definitely won’t be the last time you’ll be seeing them around this corner of the interweb. While Mother Nature has certainly been flirting with warmth lately, we still have some cool days among us, not to mention chilly nights that are not at all spring like, so I just layered on this Old Navy blazer I’m certifiably obsessed with. I love how tall the combination of the vertical stripes and the long blazer makes me seem (though I guess heels that push me over six feet don’t hurt either…)
Outfit Details – Ankle Jeans: LOFT (last seen here) | Lace Top: Banana Republic (old, similar here) | Blazer: Old Navy (last seen here and here) | Heels: Banana Republic (old, similar here and here, this season’s style here) | Necklaces: Bauble Bar (here and here) | Earrings: Kate Spade New York | Crossbody Purse: Coach Factory (similar here, similar style under $50 here) (last seen here and here)

Historically, pink has never been seen as the most fashionable color. As of just last year, I had only three pink items hanging in my closet, making the pretty hue outnumbered by every other color you could imagine. This season though, all that has begun to change. Pink is absolutely everywhere, from runways to mall window displays, and I, for one, could not be more excited about it. I find it all but impossible to be unhappy when I’m wearing a pink shirt out in the sunshine (shoutout to mother nature for the awesome weather this weekend!). This LOFT blouse is the perfect easy spring blouse- perfect to dress up or dress down with the right accessories. I love the subtle detailing in the rollup sleeves and chest pocket. I love how the lightweight fabric is perfect for the middle of the day warmth, and perfect to throw under a denim jacket at night when the temps drop!
