Outlet Fashion

Happy Friday my loves!  I hope you all enjoyed yesterday’s Seaport Guide!  I can’t wait to share even more Boston neighborhoods with you all!

Today I’m talking about one of my favorite things: outlet shopping.  Over the long weekend, I went shopping at the Wrentham Outlets with my mom and sister.  Most of my favorite stores (Banana Republic, J.Crew, Ann Taylor, Loft, etc.) have an outlet there and it is so fun seeing all the great deals that are available on your favorite styles.

This first outfit is a skirt and top combo from the LOFT outlet.  The three of us stormed into the dressing rooms with arms loaded up with buy one get one free tees and $12 tops, and I happened to spot this skirt on the way into the dressing room.  I actually bought the petite size because I’ve been looking for a skirt that was longer than a mini but still hit above my knee, and this length fit the bill perfectly.  I paired it with my old Treasure&Bond jacket and nude strappy heels!

This second look features a dress found at the Banana Republic Factory Store.  Any dress I can find for $40 is a hard win in my book.  You could definitely dress it up, but I chose to style it for brunch, with some chunky heels, my favorite denim jacket, and this adorable yellow backpack from Zara.

What are your favorite outlet stores to shop? Let me know in the comments below!

Have a great weekend!

Happy August, everyone!  That feels so strange to say.  I feel like Memorial Day and the unofficial start to summer was just last week, and now we’re in the final stretch towards fall.  Luckily, living in New England, I have easy access to all sorts of fun summer destinations that are easy to jet off to, like Saratoga Springs and Southern Coastal Maine.  My must have clothing items for some summer exploring (especially when it falls smack in the middle of a heat dome) are fun shorts from J.Crew (last worn here) and these boat shoes (great for climbing some rocks and long walks alike).

During late spring this is my one of my easy wardrobe formula: simple dress, denim jacket, flat shoes for frolicking.  J.Crew Factory is always able to help in those categories, specifically dresses.  This season I’ve probably bought more dresses there than I should admit.  But when each one is better than the last, who can blame me?!  And how could you say no to such a fun and bright dress…
