Mondays with Mac

Salutations!  My name is Michaela, otherwise referred to as “Mac”. I’m Caitlin’s younger sister and I am so excited to be guest starring on The Sol Compass. My sister does an incredible job of bringing light into my life, and I hope she does the same for all of you with this blog! Caitlin and I are best friends, we have been for life. We have a lot of the same interests, but we are different in a lot of ways as well.

A little bit about me; I’m 22 years old, and I recently just graduated from Endicott College in Beverly, MA. My siblings are my best friends and I am the middle child out of three. Family is super important to me and there is nothing I love more than being home with all of them. I have an insane addiction to Smartfood and I absolutely love love love baseball. I help coach baseball in my free time. My favorite movie is the Avengers and I am mesmerized by giraffes.

One of my favorite parts about my job is that I get to dress up everyday in cute business clothes (no shame whatsoever about that.)  Don’t get me wrong I love what I do. My job is the perfect combination of business, customer service and event planning. So I’m hoping to show you guys a few of my favorite work looks in some of these posts! This look is a great transition from the summer wardrobe into the fall by adding some pops of brown while still keeping it bright with the fuchsia top! This outfit is currently one of favorites.

Cinnamon Sweater

I am totally obsessed with this cinnamon sweater from J.Crew Factory.  It’s the perfect color for November, especially when paired with other rich hues like this plum or a dark sage.  I happen to love it layered with a reliable chambray, so this week I’m going to be sharing the two ways I styled it for Thanksgiving week!

I knew right away that I had to layer this sweater under this Helene Berman cape I got last year (last seen here).  Capes are great for traveling, since they’re warm, comfortable, and chic all at the same time.  Swap out a pair of boots for some heeled booties and this outfit is ready for even the most discerning grandmother.
