Mondays with Mac

Salutations!  My name is Michaela, otherwise referred to as “Mac”. I’m Caitlin’s younger sister and I am so excited to be guest starring on The Sol Compass. My sister does an incredible job of bringing light into my life, and I hope she does the same for all of you with this blog! Caitlin and I are best friends, we have been for life. We have a lot of the same interests, but we are different in a lot of ways as well.

A little bit about me; I’m 22 years old, and I recently just graduated from Endicott College in Beverly, MA. My siblings are my best friends and I am the middle child out of three. Family is super important to me and there is nothing I love more than being home with all of them. I have an insane addiction to Smartfood and I absolutely love love love baseball. I help coach baseball in my free time. My favorite movie is the Avengers and I am mesmerized by giraffes.

One of my favorite parts about my job is that I get to dress up everyday in cute business clothes (no shame whatsoever about that.)  Don’t get me wrong I love what I do. My job is the perfect combination of business, customer service and event planning. So I’m hoping to show you guys a few of my favorite work looks in some of these posts! This look is a great transition from the summer wardrobe into the fall by adding some pops of brown while still keeping it bright with the fuchsia top! This outfit is currently one of favorites.

Easy Like Sunday Morning

Happy Monday!  Today I’m sharing one of my favorite airy weekend looks.  Whether I’m going to brunch and want a forgiving waistline for when I inevitably eat too much, or strolling through the farmer’s market; a flowy loose skirt like this one is a must for easy weekend activities.

The (Colored) Skinny

IMG_3654 IMG_3641 IMG_3666

Colored jeans and a neutral top is one of my go to looks for late summer nights out.  It’s easy to throw on a denim jacket when it gets colder, but the tank top will keep me cooler if the place I’m at has already turned their AC off for the year.  Also, if we could just take this moment to express my profound disappoint that colored skinny jeans are no longer easily accessible and start campaigning that they start being made in truck loads again, that would be great.  They are so perfect to make a fun statement when you still want to be wearing jeans, I honestly don’t understand why anyone would ever want to give up wearing them.
