A Few Things Borrowed

Hi everyone, Happy Monday! A few weeks ago on an unexpectedly mild Sunday, my mom let me raid her closet and borrow this gorgeous coat + tote combo.

Somehow my mom, sister, and I all have different shoe sizes, which we used to joke was cosmically unfair (not to mention nearly impossible). Three girls in the same household and none of us could share shoe sizes. Luckily, in clothes, sometimes we lucked out. And if not, there are always the accessories.

Contrast Colors

Happy Hump Day everyone! I have always loved the combination of blue and black, as seen here and here, but the light shade of this suede jacket has even more of a pop against black.

Pink Winter

Welcome back friends! You may remember this coat from this post; I first wrote about it over two years ago but it’s up on my header still you have probably seen it a time or two! Over the weekend I wanted to wear a heavily layered look including a quilted vest and my gray sweater, but I couldn’t quite settle on a coat to wear. After a little hesitation, I decided to bring this one back into rotation. I was hesitant since I haven’t been embracing bright colors the way I did two years ago when I got this coat on the clearance rack in January at Target, but no fewer than four people I didn’t know (and two I did) told me they loved it while I was wearing it. The lesson here today kids is never, ever, ever undersell Target fashion. That, and always wear vests under winter coats.
