Black for Everything

Happy Friday my loves! We all know the LBD is the ultimate closet necessity, but I’m going to take it one step further and say you could definitely benefit from having more than one (just hear me out). I have a fitted scuba dress that I LOVE (seen here and here, similar here), but sometimes it seems a little forced for more laid back activities. Enter the fit and flare. Perfect for anything from shopping to brunch, this little eyelet number will make your casual events this summer an absolute breeze with a pair of fun shoes, denim jacket, and aviators!

Lavender Glam

Happy Monday my loves, welcome back! I hope you all had a great weekend. Over the weekend I wanted to challenge myself to make lavender work for those days when you aren’t aiming for a traditionally soft and feminine look. It’s also a great way for the non-girly-girl to embrace the purple tone in with some hard edged glamour. This formula would also work well with lilac or blush!

Sweet Like Lemonade

Happy Friday my loves! With this unexpected heat wave this week, I have been embracing light colors and airy fabrics as much as possible. You may recognize this yellow skirt that I wore nonstop two summers ago from this post and this post, so I decided to bring it back with some pink accents this time. Yellow is one of spring’s hot colors this year, so I was able to find similar styles here, here, and here. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it pairs with a variety of colors, from olive to pink.

Love At First Stripe

Happy Hump Day! Today is the second outfit post of my sister trip to Nashville. While I was on the Abercrombie & Fitch website searching for this dress, I found this striped shirt and instantly fell in love with it.

Nashville has these B-cycle stations all over town. They are a great and affordable way to get out and explore more of the city than you may have been able to on foot! The best part is you can just drop them off at whichever station you end up at, which is super easy since they seem to be everywhere!

The Parthenon is possibly best known amongst those my age and under from its cameo appearance in Percy Jackson, but it is an incredibly impressive full-scale replica of the original Parthenon in Athens. It’s situated right in the middle of the beautiful Centennial Park, a place I could spend days in with ease.

Now and Later Cold Shoulder Sweater

Hey everyone, happy Monday! Hope you all had a great weekend. Today I’m going to be sharing two ways to wear this cold shoulder sweater from LOFT. B told me it was cute twice the first day I wore it so you KNOW it must be doing something right. My favorite part about the cold shoulder trend is how easily it blends the gaps between seasons. I can wear it with jeans on a colder spring day, or throw on a pencil skirt when the weather is more on the mild side!

Welcoming October

Happy Weekend! I’m doing a surprise bonus post this Saturday since it’s finally October and my leather jacket collection can come out in full swing. They’ve been a staple in my fall wardrobe since I was in high school and I so look forward to bringing them back every October. This year I’m pairing them with booties that are both comfortable and stylish, plus great for traipsing around piles of leaves and old stone buildings.

Saratoga Springs

Good morning everyone! Happy Friday. Here’s a look at one of the outfits I wore this week in Saratoga Springs. I’ve mentioned before that I always manage to forget something while packing, and this trip it was my gladiators. Luckily Downtown Saratoga is filled with plenty of stores, so I was able to run into a GAP and snag these leather flip flops to wear with my skirt and dress outfits.

We took these pictures in the beautiful Congress Park, right in the middle of Downtown Saratoga. I could easily spend hours inside. The design is so thoughtful that the beauty and purposefulness of the park is overwhelming. Race Season kicks off down the street from Congress Park this weekend and it is sure to be an exciting season at the Saratoga Race Track!

Summer Lights

The combination of a simple tank and a lightweight flowy skirt is perfect for those unbearably hot summer days. It can seem so impossible to still look nice when it’s hot and humid outside. But with a light easy combination like this one, it’s possible to look cool without being too hot. At night for al fresco drinks, I just have to throw on my favorite denim jacket to warm up and dress my look down.

This Goddess dress from Banana Republic is so true to its name. Its easy and breezy but still has that elusive Ancient Greek glamour to it. With some simple gold accessories, it’s the perfect item to glam up a weekend farmer’s market trip with my favorite straw tote and some comfortable embellished sandals!
