Hello everyone! Welcome to my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Headquarters, where I’ll be sharing all of my favorite items from the biggest sale of the year!
Accessories. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is a great time to get some quality leather goods at an amazing price, so all my handbag girls better hold on tight to your wallets! Or loose, if you’re interested in replacing it, because I cover those too ;).
One: Leather Camera Bag This bag is the number one item on my wishlist of the entire sale. I love the beautiful leather and the fun guitar strap! I cannot imagine wanting to carry my camera around in anything else. Two: Kate Spade Bangles These are such a fun way to brighten up any outfit and I love the three colors together! Three: Cat Eye Sunglasses I love Tory Burch sunglasses but they are usually a bit out of my price range. This pair is marked down by over $70 which changes everything. Four: Faux Leather Tote For less than $50 this is the most amazing tote bag that you can use for absolutely anything. Five: Crossover Ring I love these rings so much and I have some great quality jewelry from Nadri and am sure these would last long, no matter how frequently you bang up your hands during the day! Six: Ear Crawlers Another winner from Nadri, I love how fun these ear crawlers are! Seven: Kate Spade Leather Wallet The wallet I currently use is this same style from Kate Spade a few years ago and it is amazing. I have been thinking about buying a new one for at least a year now just because I want a new color, but don’t have a good enough reason because it is still in amazing condition! Eight: Kate Spade Leather Tote This bag is so gorgeous and comes with the quality leather I’ve come to expect from Kate Spade. Nine: Tory Burch Leather Tote This bag is so beautiful I want to cry. I love the soft color, the elegant silhouette, and the glamorous hardware. Ten: Tory Burch Leather Wallet This wallet is also in my favorite size and shape and is beautiful in all three color options!
Men’s Picks. These are basically just items I’m going to spend the next week convincing my dad, boyfriend, and brother that they need. Most will transition well from summer into fall, and I included a variety of styles and formality!
One: Dress Shirt I love the purple color and the small check pattern. My dad can vouch for the quality of the brand! Two: Lightweight Zip Front Hoodie I’ll buy this for B to wear in the shop when it gets colder outside, and end up stealing it during the next few months when he keeps the AC on too high! Three: Pique Polo The nice white trim on this polo really takes casual Friday to the next level. Four: Quarter Zip Pullover My brother (New England College Baseball Player) will absolutely live in this at school. It also comes in gray and navy! Five: Trim Fit Short-Sleeved Shirt B has been on the lookout for short-sleeved collared shirts like crazy this year! This one is at a great price, and comes in a trim fit for the thinner guys! Six: Heritage Backpack I love this brand, and honestly who doesn’t have some use for a nice black backpack?! Seven: Sailboat Tie For the guy who would rather be sailing. Eight: Socks My brother loves this brand, and Bryan loves outer space… Thinking I can just get a pair for each of them?? Nine: Board Shorts Since there’s still at least three months of beach weather left, getting a swimsuit at this price right now is a miracle. Ten: Slim Fit Stretch Twill Pants The guys I know are always on the hunt for comfortable pants. This stretchy pair comes in five colors! Eleven: Three Piece Suit If your guy is in the market for a new suit, this one is 33% off the full price right now! Twelve: Boat Shoes Sperry’s in New England are hardly optional, so I would probably advise all Bostonians scoop up both the navy and the brown while they’re on sale! Thirteen: Tennis Sneakers I love the two-tone details on the navy pair of these, but they also come in solid black and gray. Fourteen: Slip Ons I have been trying to convince B that he needs these and I’m not slowing down anytime soon. It’s great for guys to have an easy slip on option, and the color of these will transition well into fall. Fifteen: Messenger Bag I love this bag for the young professional who’s looking to move past the backpack game.
Shoe Picks. If you are a regular reader of The Sol Compass or if you know me in real life, you undoubtedly know that shoes are my obvious weakness in life. While some have found their ways into other categories as well, these are my top shoe picks from the anniversary sale!
One: Leopard Print Slides These pointy toes mules have my whole heart for my whole life. Thinking of buying two pairs just in case… Two: Ankle Wrap Flat These shoes will be great to wear all summer and fall long, the color will go with absolutely everything! Three: Perforated Sneakers You all know I am head over heels in love with my silver oxfords (as an added bonus, I never wear them without getting compliments on them). This pair of sneakers looks more comfortable and a LOT more breathable, with the promise that my dad would still call them “tin man shoes”. Win win. Four: Peep Toe Heels These look like a fall version of the olive heels I have been wearing all spring and summer. Needless to say, I strongly approve. Five: Burgundy Block Heel Booties I pretty much live in ankle boots during the winter, and the only thing I love more than this brand is the color burgundy (but they also come in three more colors!) Six: Heeled Booties I love my Lucky Brand heel booties, but I think for this year I might need a new pair in this taupe color! Seven: Leather Sneakers I am loving the retro vibe these cute little leather kicks are giving off, and they come in five colors (including a gorgeous bright red!) Eight: Loafer Mules I honestly cannot get enough of mules and this blush pair has totally won my heart. They also come in a fun silver and chic black as well! Nine: Low Top Sneakers I have a pair of black leather Jack Purcell’s I am head over heels for, and I love how the color of these will let you wear them now and later. Ten: Thigh High Suede Boots Is there anything better than a pair of boss black boots? A pair under $90.
Elevate. With some many lux fabrics and styles being on trend right now, there is an infinite number of ways to elevate your every day wardrobe to the next level. Here are my favorite items from the sale in those rich fabrics and silhouettes!
One: Jumpsuit I really think everyone should have a jumpsuit because they take your night out look to a whole new level. I love the red, but it also comes in black! Two: Lace Trim Satin Camisole I feel like this could easily go under ‘basics’, but it really can elevate a simple sweater so much I decided to keep it here! Three: Floral Embroidered Bomber This bomber combines THREE trends (embroidered, floral, bomber) effortlessly. I know my sister would love this, especially when she sees it’s under $40! Four: Velvet Fit & Flare Dress I love a good fit and flare dress, and this deep jewel tone is just perfect for fall. Five: Slip dress I love the slip dress trend (I think Jacey of Damsel in Dior absolutely slays the slip dress game with how well she styles them) and this millennial pink number is just perfect. Six: Blue Satin Midi Skirt Seven: Foiled Pleated Skirt Eight: Yellow Velvet Skirt These skirts all combine my love of a classic midi skirt with some lux, trendy fabrics. Needless to say, I am obsessed. Nine: Faux Leather Leggings Who doesn’t love a good pair of leather leggings (real or otherwise)? Yeah, that’s what I thought. Ten: Navy Loafer Mule This gorgeous navy suede mule keeps your outfit game A1 while keeping your feet happy after a long week of heels. If you don’t like mules I am very, very sorry because (as you can see) I LOVE them and want every single pair. And this is coming from a girl who really does NOT like flats! Eleven: Embellished Mule Okay how cute are these you guys?? I am dying over the bumble bee embellishment and I love the rich blue color. Twelve: Slide Loafer I adore how minimalistic these mules are. They can dress up any outfit in silver, or add that perfect dose of chicness in the black.
Summer. While the Anniversary Sale does an amazing job promoting new fall items, there is no shortage of great summer items as well!
One: Cover-Up Tunic I love a long sleeved bathing suit cover-up and the sheer lace detail on this one is just to die for. Two: Lace Knit Top I think a cute white top is an absolute must for summer. I love the detailing on this one, plus it comes in black too! Three: Faux Wrap Maxi Dress Everything from this hemline to the pattern is absolutely perfect for a summer date night! Four: Scalloped Hem Shift Dress Sometimes I feel like every summer dress I come across has short or no sleeves, leaving me required to wear a jacket at nighttime or in a chilly office building. Enter this gem. The scalloped hem has an undeniably summer feel, but keeps me warmer when the temps dip. Five: Ruffle Lace Wrap Dress This dress (that also comes in yellow!) would be perfect for a beach town vacation and walks along a boardwalk. Six: Asymmetrical Dress Any dress that can go from desk to date night all summer long is a win in my book. Plus, how cute is this pattern?? Seven: One Piece Swimsuit I have nothing to say about this suit except that it is everything. Eight: Heeled Mule Slides I love this bright red color, but they come in gray and black as well! Nine: Slingback Thong Sandals I am obsessed with the Tory Burch Miller flip flop, and I love this similar pair of sandals with a smaller logo and added ankle strap! Ten: Pineapple Drink Holder Eleven: Pineapple Pool Float Sunnylife always has the most amazing summer toys, and these precious floats are no exception (plus the pineapple is so on trend this summer!)
Beauty. One of the most underrated departments of the Anniversary Sale is Beauty. There are some great deals on products I already know I love, and some great mini kits to try out new ones!
One: Liquid Lipstick Duo Charlotte Tilbury products can be pretty pricey, but this grouped set allows you to get $30 off! Comes in a nude set and a pink set! Two: Liquid Lipstick Duo I’ve never tried Jouer products before, but I adore the rose shades in this set so it seems like as good a time as any to give the brand a test drive! Three: Fresh Sugar Lip Set I don’t know anyone who doesn’t love Fresh Sugar Lips, but they can get somewhat expensive. This sweet deal makes it 100% worth it. Four: Anastasia Mini Lip Gloss Set I have my Anastasia lip glosses on a fairly regular rotation, and with this set I can try a bunch of new colors without committing to a full size tube! Five: Sigma Beauty Innovation Duo I bought my version of this brush cleaning mat + brush set at last year’s Anniversary Sale and I absolutely love it. It’s a great deal if you like Sigma Brushes (you should they rock) and the brush cleaning mat is a total game changer in cleaning your makeup brushes! Six: Smashbox Primer Duo The Smashbox Photo Finish Primer is one of the most loved primers out there. With this deal, I can’t imagine not getting at least one set (to save yourself $20 in the long run)! Seven: Jumbo Radiance Foundation Primer Another great primer deal, this Laura Mercier one is $28 off. Need I say more? Eight: Anti-Blemish Device I’ve never tried this before, but I’ve been having a lot more trouble with my skin in the summer heat this year so at this price point, I definitely think it’s worth a try! Nine: Supergoop! Sunscreen Mist Supergoop! makes all of my favorite sunscreens. I especially love the City Serum, but this is an amazing deal for the spray on bottles! Ten: Facial Water Spray Set I love these facial water sprays for long flights, and other dehydrated moments. They always leave me feeling fresher, and this set is 50% off!! Eleven: Clear Brow Gel Duo There is really no dupe for Anastasia’s brow gel. I personally love the tinted brow gel better, but for 35% off I might be willing to go back to the clear for a little while ;). Twelve: Drybar Full Size Favorites Getting three full size Drybar products for under $50 honestly feels like highway robbery somehow legalized by Nordstrom. I am 100% okay with this. Thirteen: Elizabeth and James Nirvana Black Set I love all of the Elizabeth & James Nirvana scents, but Black is probably my favorite. This set is a really great deal!
Home. The Anniversary Sale is a great time to find discounts on staples like wine glasses and art work, but I found a bunch of beautiful and functional pieces to add to your home here!
One: Wool Throw You can pretty much through a rock at Pendleton and hit something I like, and this blanket is no exception. Toss it on a leather couch and the entire ambiance of your living room can change! Two: Luggage Set If you’ve been looking for a reason to treat yourself to a new passport and luggage tag, you’re welcome I have just found your reason (it has something to do with saving $24…) Three: Travel Jewelry Case I’ve wanted one of these travel jewelry cases for so long, and now with $20 is the perfect time to pull the trigger! Four: S’Well Stainless Steel Water Bottle S’Well bottles seem to never be on sale, so this is the perfect time to stock up! There are nine patterns and colors on sale, but I’m partial to this sleek blue wood one! Five: Cheese Board Set My younger self desperately wanted to be the kind of adult who hosted wine and cheese parties. We aren’t quite there yet, unless you consider me eating blocks of cheese by myself while reading a ‘party’, but this piece is one step in the right direction. Plus I love how the piano figure makes a great conversation starter to my musical background. Six: TEMPUR-Neck Pillow One of the best investments I’ve made in regards to my health was a proper pillow for back and side sleepers. If you’re interested in doing the same, 33% off is a great time to test out a new pillow! Seven: Metal Picture Frame I love the pop of pink in this pretty frame. Kate Spade does it again! Eight: Wine Rack Anyone who knows me in real life will tell you I am an absolute sucker for copper kitchen accents (long before and long after their moment in 2016). This wine honeycomb design just sweetens the deal. Nine: Oil Bottle Set This would be such a great gift for the foodie or host in your life. The presentation is amazing and the stoppers are really practical. I’m highly considering getting one for myself and one or two as gifts! Ten: Milk Chocolate Mints This is a somewhat unexpected addition to the ‘home’ section, but I love these so much every time I have one after eating at Nordstrom, and I would love to have some around the house! Eleven: Bar Cart Who doesn’t love a good deal AND a bar cart?! Twelve: Aromatherapy Diffuser There are a few different styles of these in the sale, but I love the laser detail in this one! B and I have been talking about them for a while now and this price is the perfect excuse to pull the trigger!
