Halloween Inspired Date Night Outfit

Happy Friday my friends! I can’t believe it’s already October 20th! I find that October is always a super busy month, so B and I had to make sure we fit some one on one date time in between all of the scheduled activities. My birthday is the day before Halloween and I have always felt drawn to the October color palette as a result. During the rest of the year I don’t usually pair orange with black, but if there were ever a perfect time to do it it’s ten days before Halloween!

Wearing Blush in October

Hey y’all, welcome back! Today I want to talk about ways to wear your lighter colors through the fall. I think it’s one of my responsibilities as a blogger to not only tell you what items I think you should add to your closet, but more importantly ways to wear those items again and again. Midi skirts are a staple in my wardrobe, and therefore I love finding new ways to wear them as late as my bare legs will let me! So if you ever bought a blush pleated midi skirt because of me, this post is dedicated to you.

My first step was these fabulous leopard booties, and then paired it with this maroon sweater. With the blush anchored in darker hues, it blends it seamlessly through a see of October colors!

Rust in Burlington

Hello everyone, welcome back! I hope you all had a great week so far! B and I went up to Vermont for a bit of reconnecting and relaxing, with dashes of leaf peeping scattered throughout! We took these pictures up in Burlington, after a great dinner on Church Street, right before we saw the most amazing sunset! I absolutely love the color combination of rust and mustard. They are so perfect for autumn and together they reminded me of the copper glowing mountains we drove between throughout Vermont!

Colors of Fall in Keene

Happy Friday everyone! Today’s outfit is just celebrating all the beautiful colors of fall. You may remember last year I wore a lot of deep jewel tones throughout the fall (almost exclusively aubergine, burgundy, olive, and navy), but this year I’ve been doing a lot of matching my outfit to the colors outside. Over the weekend, while B and I spent a few hours in Keene, NH I wore purple, a color I have always associated with October and Halloween!

Floral Fall Dress

Hey everyone, happy hump day! I am absolutely loving floral dresses for the fall, including this one I last wore here. It looks great with a pair of white sneakers, like I wore in Newbury, nude heels, or some heeled booties like I wore here! I love how this blush leather jacket pulls out the lighter hues to completely lighten up the whole look.

Who What Wear Dress

Hey everyone, happy Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend! I wore this pretty dress over the weekend to a vow renewal ceremony for one of Bryan’s best friends, and no one could believe that I got it at Target (0 for 4 all day, which always happens with my Target finds!) I love the soft lines and how instantly pulled together I felt after putting it on! I got so many compliments I can’t wait to pair it with a pair of heeled booties in the colder weather (it was 86 degrees and scorching sun while we were taking these photos… Yay New England!) Pattern Mixing

Hey everyone, happy hump day! One of the fashion related questions I’m most asked by people is how to mix different patterns. I may not be the best resource for this because I think stripes go with everything. Alas, one of the bases of pattern mixing in my book is color coordination. Prints in the same color palette effortless enhance each other, rather than heavily clashing.

Transitioning Colors

Happy Friday everyone! This week was back into the 80s here in Mass, so it felt unnatural to wear the conventional fall colors. Instead I took the opportunity to embrace lighter colors together in one palette again. This dreamy jacket from LOFT would be gorgeous over navy or aubergine well into the fall, and makes such a nice contrast to my usual dark leather jackets!
