We all have that event this season where we’re going as a plus one and need to look appropriate but not like we’re trying to be the center of attention. As a full embracer of red during the holiday season, I feared that this would be the hardest post for me to write. Going as a plus one to an office party can be stressful enough without trying to get more than “I dunno I’m just going in my work clothes” out of your SO (le sigh).
Without being overly familiar with the environment, it’s always best to go with something safe and classic. This gray dress is appropriate all winter long, but the sheen gives it a nice festive vibe. I borrowed some diamonds (necklace and earrings) from my mom to add a nice elegant touch, and these bracelets from White House Black Market to add some festiveness to the monochromatic dress color.
