The Sol Compass

February Blues

I shot these photos last weekend before we had eight inches of snow dumped onto the ground, with another 6-10 on the way today!  It was nice having such a mild winter for a while, but I won’t complain about the opportunity to finally go skiing or the beautiful snow covered trees. I was loving embracing lighter layers in traditional winter colors like these shades of black and blue.  LOFT makes some of my absolute favorite tops.  I find myself gravitating towards solid pieces that have elegant details and can be matched with patterned pieces while still making a statement of their own, and LOFT constantly delivers in these categories.  This necklace from Banana Republic is a few years old, but it’s one of my favorite pieces to add some color and glamour to any ensemble!

Outfit Details – Top: LOFT | Skirt: LOFT Outlet (similar here and here) | Tights: J.Crew Factory | Flats: Zara | Necklace: Banana Republic | Bracelets: J.Crew Factory, LC Lauren Conrad | Earrings: Banana Republic (old, similar here) | Watch: Fossil

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week!

  3. This outfit looks amazing on you, Cailtin! I’m a huge fan of LOFT’s tops too – they’re always so clean and feminine – and I definitely have the one you’re wearing in this post on my wish list now. The shoulder detailing is so flattering on you!
