Poolside

Ever since I was twelve years old and my parents built this pool in our backyard, summer afternoons have always meant poolside gatherings to me.  Whether it’s at my parents’ pool that I grew up swimming in with my cousins, or at a hotel rooftop on Sunday afternoons; summer = nonstop pool parties.  While swimsuits are always on my radar by February, I tend to forget about cover-ups until the first party each season when I realize that I have nothing to wear there.  Luckily, one of my all-time favorite stores J.Crew has a great selection of cute cover-ups that I’ve had a lot of success with this year (last seen in this previous post here, and you can shop the sale cover-ups here).

I cannot say enough good things about Lands’ End tote bags.  My mom has used them for as long as I can remember, and they last forever.  My sister and I have started our own little collections now too, and they are a great pool/beach bag that we know we’ll use for years to come.

  1. This cover up is the cutest! I saw it online a while back and should have ordered it. I don’t know if you follow Julia Engel on Instagram, but she posted a pic in it from Greece and I was definitely wishing I had gotten it! Haha

  2. Such a cute cover-up. Looks like it could double as a dress too, win! I always forget about them too and don’t want to spend money on one. I usually end up wear a kimono.
